An Evening with
John Barrowman
Arundel Festival date for Torchwood's Captain Jack.
His army of fans know him as the intergalactic man of action Captain Jack Harkness in BBC TV's Dr Who and Torchwood, but multi-talented John Barrowman will be playing a very different role when he headlines at Arundel Castle during this year's Arundel Festival.
The 42-year-old Scottish born actor, singer, dancer and TV presenter, who appeared in last year's Royal Variety Performance, will perform an open air 'picnic concert' of big musical numbers and ballads.
Barrowman performed the role of time traveller Captain Jack in the Dr Who revival, and the character generated such impact that it spawned the spin-off series Torchwood, which is due to go into a third series later this year.
But he's equally well known for his appearances on light entertainment shows such as Live & Kicking, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? and the celebrity ice skating show Dancing on Ice, guest presenting on the ITV daytime show, This Morning, not to mention his new BBC Saturday prime time show Tonight's the Night.
He's also an established recording artist and his Arundel concert will focus on songs from blockbuster Broadway and London stage shows and hit screen musicals.
John and his band will entertain an anticipated sell-out audience.
