The hugely popular Yorkshire-born soprano in a programme of classical favourites and some more recent songs, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Philip Ellis. As a soloist, Lesley Garett’s 12 solo CDs have brought great success, including the Gramophone Award for ‘Best-Selling Classical Artist of the Year’ for ‘Soprano in Red’. ‘A Soprano Inspired’ and ‘Lesley Garrett’ both achieved platinum status. Recent albums include ‘So Deep is the Night’, the music from which was made into a film entitled ‘Lesley Garrett-Desert Dreams’.

Lesley’s television history includes the BBC’s ‘Lesley Garrett…Tonight’, which evolved as ‘The Lesley Garrett Show’, featuring a variety of celebrity musical artists. She was a semi-finalist for the BBC’s hit show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and a judge for BBC’s ‘Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.’

This is an open-air picnic-style concert and no seating or cover is provided. Please bring chairs, cushions, rugs, picnics. Catering and refreshment facilities will be available. This will include a public bar selling a full range of drinks. Early booking is strongly recommended as ticket numbers are strictly limited to 4,000. Free parking on site. Designated area for blue badge holders. Tickets are non-refundable. We do not allow tables, barbecues, open fires, garden flares, windbreaks, gazebos or tented structures. In the event of wet weather every effort will be made to present the concert.
