Arundel Festival Artist of the Year

ENTRIES NOW OPEN for 2026!

Do you have what it takes to become the Arundel Festival of the Arts Artist of the Year?
Take part in this year's competition for your chance to win a prize of £250! 


On 2nd August 2026, artists will be tasked with creating an original piece of art featuring local landmark, Hiorne Tower, Arundel Park, from 10am - 4pm.


From there, the shortlisted artists will have their works displayed in The Victoria Institute over the festival period (22nd - 31st August 2026), where the public will vote for their favourite.


The winner of the vote will be awarded a prize of £250 and the title of Arundel Festival's Artist of the Year!

What you need to know...


Location: Hiorne Tower, Arundel Park

Date: Sunday 2nd August 2026

What you should bring: Everything you need for the day -  e.g. art materials, paper/canvas, chair, easel, shade, water.


You have any time between 10am - 4pm to produce your work - this can be in chunks or a break in the middle or just the whole day. Use the time as you want - but there is no more!

2025 Artist of the Year

The inaugural Arundel Festival Artist of the Year was won by local artist Anthony Veal in 2025. The community-focused competition, invites artists to create a depiction of a local landmark. The competition offers festival-goers the opportunity to vote on a shortlist of entries.
