The type of personal information we collect 
We currently collect and process the following information:
  • Team Arundel volunteer names, email addresses, and contact num-bers 
  • Festival newsletter Subscribers name, email address and contact numbers 
  • Central Festival Ticket system - Ticketsource, Fienta, Sum-up, iZettle and cash Ticket purchase contact details - name, email address and contact numbers
  • Information sent to us on Secretary, Volunteer, Events and Marketing emails 
  • Any other personal information? No 
  • Customer financial information? Yes. Information about sole traders and companies who may provide services to the Festival. This may in-clude information identifying them and concerning the services they provide. It may also include financial information so that the Festival can invoice and pay for services. There are no instances in which the Festival pass personal information to a third party, but if we do so (for instance, to pay an invoice), we ensure that they have a similar in-formation protection policy in place ie Contract lawful basis for pro-cessing data.

  • How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
  • Newsletter subscriber 
  • Ticket sales 
  • Team Arundel Volunteers 
  • Secretary, Volunteer, Events and Marketing emails 
  • You may provide a service or you have been contracted to provide a service 
  • Promotion of your own website, or social media platforms 
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 
  • (a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting secretary@arundelfestival.co.uk 
  • (b) We have a contractual obligation. (eg Marquee Company)
  • (c) We have a legal obligation. (eg Insurance company)
  • (d) We have a vital interest. (eg Emergency Medical care) 
  • (e) We need it to perform a public task. (eg District Council)
  • (f) We have a legitimate interest. (eg Marketing activity)
How we store your personal information 
Your information is securely stored in a password protected file only ac-cessible to the Chair, Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator and Media Man-ager. 
We keep all personal information only for as long as we need it, up to a period of eight years. We will then dispose of your information by secure-ly destroying and disposing of this by paper shredding method.

Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify per-sonal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your per-sonal information in certain circumstances. 
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circum-stances. 
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
